Publication Ethics

Jurnal Komputasi is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher, are expected to adhere to ethical standards and best practices.

Duties of Authors

Authors should:

  • Submit original and unpublished work.
  • Ensure that manuscripts are free from plagiarism and fraudulent data.
  • Properly acknowledge the work of others through appropriate citations.
  • Avoid multiple, redundant, or simultaneous submissions to other journals.
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the research results.
  • Cooperate with editors if corrections or retractions are necessary.

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

  • Making publication decisions based solely on the scholarly merit of manuscripts.
  • Maintaining confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts.
  • Ensuring a fair and unbiased peer-review process.
  • Preventing conflicts of interest.
  • Taking appropriate action regarding ethical concerns or allegations of misconduct.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers should:

  • Conduct reviews objectively and constructively.
  • Maintain confidentiality of manuscripts under review.
  • Identify relevant published work that has not been cited.
  • Inform editors of any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Report any suspected plagiarism or ethical misconduct.

Publication Integrity

Jurnal Komputasi does not tolerate:

  • Plagiarism;
  • Data fabrication or falsification;
  • Duplicate publication;
  • Citation manipulation;
  • Authorship misconduct;
  • Any form of unethical research practice.

Any proven cases of publication malpractice will be handled in accordance with COPE guidelines and may result in manuscript rejection, article retraction, or notification to the authors' institutions.
